I have bought laces a number of times on line as that seems to be the only way you can buy them these days. OK that is not a huge problem, however most of the laces I have bought have been of very poor quality and have snapped relatively quickly.
I sense that most modern shoes are only intended to be worn for a few weeks before being thrown away. That is not my style. My leather brogues are more than 25-years old. New heels still as good as new. Just need some new laces for them.
The laces I bought were for some golf shoes. The shoes are about £165 per pair the laces last about 12-months. The shoes last about 3-years. Hence the need for new laces. Sadly I did not think too carefully about the 5mm wide. I did get them in the shoe but 3mm would have been a better width. 110cm is the right length. Again if you have a 13 wide they will require longer laces than if you take 7. Any way these laces seem very good. I will try getting some more laces for my brogues.
Having a note saying what kind of shoes these laces would be a good fit for would be a good idea.
